Background:
HFC in their last match could have fielded only 2 foreign players because of injury but the discipline, enthusiasm and skills shown by their Indian footballers were quite good to impress any team.
EBFC is the only team who is yet to score in this ISL & hope Jeje ( The 2nd highest Indian striker ) could change that today and make a mark for him.
The Referee today is Ajitkumar Mietei and he has officiated 2 matches in this ISL and has shown 11 cards.
The battle on the field:
HFC started it's first look at goal in the 4th minute which showed their intent of the game. Irshad, the MOM of the last match has happily defended the same.
It looks like it will be a match of Fooballing skill and brilliance of HFC against a shaky, jolted defence of SCEB as it seems in the first 15 minutes of the game.
On the 26th minute, Jack Maghoma scores!!! And can you believe that was the first shot at the HFC taken by the SCEB. But it seems Maghoma has sealed his name as the first Goalscorer of the Centenarian side & it's quite an achievement.
On the 45th minute, Sehnaj brings down Yasir in the penalty box & Ajitkumar has given a penalty. A perfect decision. But the shot was saved by Debjit. Whoops!!! Although, it seems Debjit has taken a step before the shoot, and the shot should have been taken once again but ever the less it was a good save.
HALF-TIME KFC:0 SCEB:1
Liston Colaso comes in & it seems changed the whole game for the HFC. Within a span on 2 minutes i.e. 56the and 58th minute HFC scored twice...what a turn around of the scoreline!!!
On the 73rd minute, Ahsih was fouled poorly by Steinman and was the first person to be booked for today.
On the 83rd minute Abhshek fouled on Liston & got yellow, It seems that Abhishek has taken one for the team.
On the fag end of the play 90+4' minute, Aron and Narayan Das picked up 2 yellow cards, while Narayan for a foul on Liston and Holloway for unnecessary reasons of lifting-up Ashish whom he fouled. If you want to know how to get a foolish yellow card then Aron should be your teacher.
Though a penalty was given, it was absolutely necessary. All the booking were justified, and even the advantages rule has been nicely used. Though there were some errors while the Off-Side was given but that was poor judgment call from the linesMan in both sides of the field. Overall AjitKumar has done nicely on the field today.
