ISL ::: NorthEast United FC and Chennaiyin FC at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco, Goa

The trouble with referees is that they know the rules, but they don't know the game. ...Goes the famous saying and often comes out true because the referee is supposed to know the rules and play them according to the FIFA rules, but the application of the rule is the problem.

The Chennaiyan kept Rafael Crivellaro out of the pitch which was quite surprising from their End. While they are coming from losing a game and will look forward to getting into a winning spree, the NEUFC on the other side had a draw in their last match. NEUFC has apparently changed their form of last season and is looking forward to doing good in this session.

What marks important background is the background of the person, who is the ultimate decision-maker of the game. And his statistics, at least in this ISL is clean, is 21 cards from the last 3 matches he officiated. So it will be show-off a good game or the show of the cards is also to be seen.

The battle on the field:

In the 2nd minute, only Chhangte got into a shooting position and shoot which was saved by Gurmeet. As it started is showed Chennai would like to be on the attacking side & they mean business on the field to get the points as early as possible.

In the 17th minute, there was a cross from the left by Fox and lambot has a free header, which flicks on the Hand of Momo, & Tejas said play on. Why ??? It was a penalty and if NEUFC has got this penalty at this time, it would have clearly changed the course of the game.

It was the 36th minute, when Tejas first came into the picture though. A little out of character today! Is it? let us see. Louis Machado was booked for a rough challenge the Louis was nowhere near the ball, and the Y Card was more than justified.

While going to Half-time it showed that Chennaiyan was building the game from the back & started attacking, while NEUFC is looking to break the counter after getting the ball in the mid-field. lots to play for the second half.

 After half-time, Loius Machado was seen dribbling past two defenders and playing with V P Suhair to try for a goal, but the shot was easily caught.
